Appearance
apps/panel 0.80.1
Released on 10 September 2026. Previous release: 0.80.0.
What changed
- After a live update triggers a successful REST reread, Table compares the attribute values of existing rows. Changed values produce a standard success notification and two-second highlights on the affected rows and cells. Initial loads, unchanged responses, and failed or deferred reads do not produce update feedback. With reduced motion enabled, the highlights stay static for the same duration.
- The global connection banner and its retry button have been removed. Automatic table updates and editor messages about pending updates remain. The table's regular refresh rereads its data; it does not restart the connection.
- When the application intentionally cancels a superseded request, it no longer shows that cancellation as a request-error notification. Network, timeout, and HTTP errors retain their existing handling.
- A local demonstration at
/demo/table-updateslets you change fixture rows and observe the table reread, notification, and highlights. It requires local fixture mode and uses a local event source; it does not connect to a SignalR server. The page is unavailable outside fixture mode.
No additional application JSON setting is required for the update feedback. The existing SignalR setup and table subscription limits still apply. The Table guide describes the current refresh controls and the distinction between record changes and changes to list membership.
